The Southwestern “family of companies” is anchored by the core company, Southwestern Advantage. Southwestern Advantage was established in 1855 as a publishing firm, and in 1868, began operating as both a publisher and direct selling company. Southwestern Advantage, based in Nashville, Tennessee is America’s oldest direct selling company.

College and university students from all over the world participate in the Southwestern Advantage summer selling program. From the independent student sales force, companies are started using the capital, support and resources of our business incubator.

	Southwestern Advantage Established 1855 – Nashville, TN Southwestern Advantage has assisted college students from all over the world offset their educational expenses through running their own sales business. Students relocate to another community living with a host family and sell educational products to families face-to-face to offset their educational expenses.
	Great American Opportunities, Inc. Established 1975 – Nashville, TN One the oldest, largest and most respected fund-raising companies in America. With a recent acquisition, Great American is now the second largest fund-raiser in the nation. Combined, the companies have raised over $1.75 billion for schools and non-profit organizations.
	Tasty Selections Acquired 2002 - Concord, Ontario, Canada A manufacturer of high quality frozen bakery products. Tasty Selections services grocery retailing, foodservices and fundraising industries.
	GA Preferred Acquired 2001 – Nashville, TN Custom creates discount products for non-profit organizations and schools, which allows a fundraiser with a personal touch.
	Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America Established 1989 – Cleveland, OH An industry-leading supplemental insurance company providing protection, service and security to families. Assets have increased 25% per year since 1998 and now exceed $250 million.
	Southwestern Legacy Financial Services, Inc. Established 2000 – Nashville, TN Dedicated to providing families, businesses and their employees the very best in supplemental insurance benefits with an emphasis on customer service.
	FRP, Inc. Est. in 1961, Acquired by Southwestern in 1978 – Nashville, TN A well-known, respected and award-winning cookbook publishing company for non-profits, companies and individuals. Services include editorial, consulting, professional training and distribution.
	The Booksmith Group Acquired in 2005 – Nashville, TN Produces high-end, coffee table commemorative books for colleges and universities.
	Beckon Books Established in 2008 - San Diego, CA Produces corporate custom books for anniversaries, brand building and marketing.

	Southwestern Investment Services, Inc. Established in 2002 – Nashville, TN A full-service investment and financial services firm that offers conservative and comprehensive retirement planning through Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. Southwestern Investment Services has been in the top 1% of Raymond James investment firms nationwide on a consistent basis.
	SBR Consulting Established in 2002 – London, UK Assists companies in improving their bottom line through building their most valuable asset, their people, through training and consulting which combine process, work habits and mindset.
	Southwestern Business Resources, Inc. Established 1982 – Nashville, TN; London, UK A leading International executive search and recruiting services firm for specialty positions and fields. Global candidates are recruited for client companies from small private businesses to Fortune 100 companies. The company also employs two full-time career counselors to work with Southwestern college students, offering them a career path beyond graduation.
